A report monitored in TMZ reveals that American rapper Lil Wayne is set to branch out into sports management and his No.1 client will be Real Madrid and Portugal superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.
The pair are said to be close friends and Ronaldo’s high profile will help grow the business in the early days
of its introduction into the world of sport.
The Hip Hop star’s company will work closely with PolarisSports, which has affiliations with the CAA Agency and GestiFute Sports, two agencies that the Madrid ace’s agent Jorge Mendes uses.
Lil Wayne is set to handle all of Ronaldo’s business in the USA, from the 29-year-old’s branding and marketing in the country, to pushing his new modelling career.
Currently, the Portuguese captain is recognised as the best footballer in the world after winning the 2014 Ballon d’Or ahead of great rival at FC Barcelona, Lionel Messi.
Ronaldo has been used in many marketing and advertising campaigns and Lil Wayne is sure to be kept busy by the forward’s commercial demands.
